What's the gap? Can you fit a cleaning wand in there? Or open your sliding window and go at it with a rag.

pre-soak, soap, rinse, I wouldn't concern myself beyond what a pressure wand can practice.

I've taken mine for granted I guess, the front end drinking glass drops revealing the rear window on my Leer.

I think drinking glass wipes + a thin plastic handle to get in there maybe?

This thread has some added ideas tho- https://world wide web.tacomaworld.com/threads/window-cleaning-tween-the-shell-and-cab.20179/

edit: too, welcome to the forum

In the 4 years I've had the shell I've cleaned the middle area perchance 2-3 times and never cleaned the 2 sides. It simply doesn't carp me I approximate because I don't see it
  7. That is one of the reasons that a sliding window on the front of the shell is important.

    This.
You NEED to exist cleaning well behind the cap and not letting it sit.

What I exercise (with my softopper) is break down the topper and wash the backside well. I clean the glass and put a hydrophobic glass coating on that dorsum drinking glass so it beads h2o so less dirt and crud builds up on the window when information technology rains. Yous tin can utilize a Rain-X like coating.

I care for the condom gaskets around the window with a UV protector and treat the paint with a paint sealer like I do the rest of the truck (I utilise Jet Seal).

I only need to break downward the topper to make clean every 6 months and I accept protection on the paint incase something gets back at that place and I can't run across it and sits on the paint for a long time.

What beat did you put on? My Leer window folds downwards to make clean that space and it's the cheapest one they make and is a standard option.

Before I put the camper on I used some pigment sealant on the glass, would use a pressure level washer to spray it down and it wouldn't leave streaks

I hardly ever clean in-between in that location. The rain takes care of it. Merely when I do, I utilize the fold-down window feature on the vanquish.

Once a year I have the clamps off and slide the cap back about vi" to clean everything. I too have an F-150 and when I bought the cap for information technology I paid $100 extra to have a front window in the shell that comes completely out. Makes it a lot easier to clean.

This is what y'all are looking for: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Unger-1...PIPHorizontal2_rr-_-204326114-_-207102223-_-N

You can buy these on telescoping poles and they are super handy for cleaning in all kinds of tough places. It is also soft so information technology won't damage your pigment

  17. My cap has a fold downward window in the front, I used it exactly once to verify it worked, and it did. Otherwise, I scoot in the back a couple time a yr to get something out of the tool box stowed there, and to recharge my hot-shot box. I always take a spray canteen of windex and make clean the inside of the window which gets way dirtier than the exterior. Otherwise, my weekly truck wash where I allow my scrub rag/sponge slip between cab and cap as far as it will go, then rinse well keeps the hard to achieve outside surfaces clean enough - for me.
  18. at i time they sold a kicking that went between your cab and shell i had one in the late 80s worked slap-up i had a sliding rear window that i would open up for heat in the bed when on hunting trips
  19. I take that merely still not enough to get my hand in.

    This is my effect. 86D3C720-2EEC-481F-BA86-DC00DF1E15A5.jpg 2BD8DFB1-C8DC-4B78-ADE6-98A296EB4B24.jpg 2D7983A2-1F0B-467D-9A85-4F3BBD6FE7AD.jpg

Guess my only option is remove the cap
